Reports To: Production Planning Supervisor - Control Center

Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Production Planning Assistant for our Control Center to provide administrative and scheduling support to the Production Planning Supervisor. This position plays a key role in coordinating production paperwork, tracking customer orders, maintaining schedules, and ensuring accurate communication between departments. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Planning Supervisor with daily production scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Update and maintain the daily Will Call Job Board and production schedules.
- Review Bills of Materials (B.O.M.), Manufacturing Process Control Sheets, and related paperwork for accuracy and completeness when asked.
- Distribute, and file production documents, including B.O.M.s, packing lists, and process control sheets.
- Track customer orders throughout the production process and maintain accurate order status records.
- Audit completed production paperwork for billing accuracy and communicate discrepancies to the Control Center Supervisor.
- Pull customer orders for will-call pickup and assist with order organization.
- Contact customers regarding order status, estimated completion times, delays, and abandoned orders.
- Pull routine reports, and perform basic clerical and data entry functions.
- Communicate effectively with production, sales, customer service, and shipping departments to support efficient workflow.
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of clerical, administrative, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional customer service attitude.
