As a small, highly specialized company, every employee plays an important role in delivering exceptional technical service. We are looking for a detail-oriented Electronics Calibration & Repair Technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and restoring precision electronic equipment. This role consists of approximately 70% electronics calibration/cleaning and repair and 30% shipping, packaging, receiving, and logistics support.
Position Summary
The Calibration & Repair Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, cleaning, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, packaging/shipping, and documenting barcode verification and precision measurement equipment. This position works with electronic instrumentation, test equipment, and customer devices to ensure products meet manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Compensation
The wage range is $27.50 to $31.50 per hour. The hiring manager will determine the final starting wage (within the range above) based on the successful applicant’s qualifications.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate enjoys owning the entire process of receiving equipment, diagnosing electronic problems, taking apart equipment, repairing and restoring the equipment, and shipping the equipment back to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, test, calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic barcode verification and measurement equipment.
- Troubleshoot electronic instrumentation and identify out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Perform component-level diagnostics, soldering, repair, adjustment, and replacement of electronic components.
- Prepare accurate calibration certificates, service reports, and repair documentation.
- Receive incoming units, pack, and ship outgoing units through various shipping partners.
- Track units through the testing and calibration process.
- Occasional customer site visits (Metro Area) for onsite calibration/repairs (~once a month).
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation, or a closely related field.
OR
- Equivalent combination of electronics education and industry or military experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using electronic test equipment including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Strong component-level troubleshooting and soldering skills.
- Experience calibrating electronic or measurement equipment.
- Experience shipping and receiving sensitive electronics.
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, biomedical equipment, avionics, telecommunications, or similar technical fields.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
This position requires firm grasping and fine manipulation of the hands to assemble, operate tooling and testing equipment.
Exposure to manufacturing areas which may entail dirt, dust, loud noise, cleaning chemicals, and fumes.
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
