Job Description:
The MLOps Engineer will contribute to a long-term technology project to develop decision-ready underwriting data and insights within short time durations of receiving a submission. The project seeks to unify different human/digital workflows and technology stacks under a single umbrella. The MLOps contribution to the project will relate to developing ML models, refactoring and optimizing existing ML models, and affecting model life cycle management around project components that use prebuilt AI. The initial phase of project will likely span roughly six months with potential for engagements with the contractor in subsequent phases.
What You Will Do:

Fill gaps in org’s ML modeling footprint

Retrofit and refactor existing ML models to meet project SLAs

Advise data team on extraction and contribute software components where needed

Work with data team on gating and readiness indicators to support digital workflow

Develop process level controls to monitor and mitigate project risks such as drift
What You Will Bring to C&F:

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, data science, mathematics, or statistics or equivalent experience

Demonstrated ability with:

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $71,600 to a maximum of $100,900. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
