Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Ensure strict infection prevention management by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state licensing boards.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and procedures related to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
- Skilled in patient care, including patient assessment, education, and communication of treatment plans.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, X-ray safety protocols, and medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality while managing sensitive medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
