Responsibilities
Provide high-level tax preparation, planning, and fiduciary tax advisory services for complex estates, trusts (including revocable, irrevocable, and charitable trusts), and high-net-worth individuals.
Oversee and support multiple trust and estate tax engagements concurrently, fostering continual learning and personal prosperity within your staff.
Review fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041), gift tax returns (Form 709), and estate tax returns (Form 706).
Manage compliance deadlines, ensuring all estate and trust milestones are outlined and deadlines are met.
Complete complex estate planning research, wealth-transfer analysis, and special technical tax projects.
Assist in supervising, developing, and coaching staff accountants by creating an inclusive environment built on constant support and mentorship.
Participate in the management and development of client relationships, collaborating closely with clients' attorneys, financial advisors, and executors while adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and confidentiality.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA License, Juris Doctor (JD), or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential is highly preferred.
4+ years of public accounting or specialized legal experience, with a strong focus and dedicated understanding of the nuances of fiduciary accounting, trust administration, and estate tax planning.
Deep technical knowledge of federal and state laws regarding trust and estate taxation.
Experience with leading tax preparation and research software (such as CCH Axcess/ProSystem fx and BNA) is a plus.

Professional communication skills and the ability to convey dense estate and trust concepts clearly to clients and team members alike.
