We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in patient conditions to report promptly to nursing staff.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols, including catheter care and wound management.
- Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, especially those with dementia or behavioral health needs.
- Assist with specialized care procedures such as phlebotomy, IV management, or oxygen therapy as trained and authorized.
Skills
- Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and basic life support (CPR) certification.
- Experience in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly valued.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual transfers using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and provide excellent patient service.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
