Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Autonomous Vehicle Operations Supervisor (AVOS) to lead the oversight and management of autonomous vehicle fleets within our transportation network. In this role, you will coordinate daily vehicle operations, ensure seamless integration with logistics and supply chain processes, and maintain optimal fleet performance. Duties
- Supervise the daily operation of autonomous vehicles, ensuring timely dispatching and routing aligned with transportation planning goals
- Monitor vehicle performance using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS, GIS, and other tracking tools to optimize fleet utilization
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to facilitate freight movement, shipping & receiving, and warehouse logistics
- Manage dispatching activities utilizing multi-line phone systems and AS400 for real-time communication with drivers and stakeholders
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and fleet management activities to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency
- Utilize analysis skills to review operational data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements
- Handle phone call management with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
Skills
- Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and transportation planning tools
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and SyteLine
- Experience in logistics, freight management, shipping & receiving procedures, and 3PL (third-party logistics) coordination
- Excellent analysis skills for data entry, report generation, and operational troubleshooting
- Effective dispatching capabilities combined with organizational skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with fleet management software, including AS400 systems and transportation management platforms
- Ability to manage phone calls efficiently using multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional communication standards
Pay: $28.00 per hour
