North Bridge Federal is a staffing firm that places people with government contractors. We're hiring a Contract Specialist to support a prime contractor on a federal program in Washington, DC.
This is a hybrid role — you'd work on-site in downtown DC part of the week and remotely the rest. You'll need to live within commuting distance or be open to relocating.
The work is mostly post-award: administering federal contracts after they're awarded, handling modifications and option exercises, and closing out completed contracts. If you've done cradle-to-grave contracting and you're comfortable on the administration and closeout side, you'll fit well here.
What you'd do
- Administer federal contracts through the post-award phase, keeping obligations on track and documented
- Prepare and process modifications, option exercises, and de-obligations
- Run contract closeouts: final documentation, compliance checks, and record retention
- Keep contract files accurate and audit-ready
- Work with program and finance staff to sort out issues as they come up
What we're looking for
- Experience as a contract specialist working on federal contracts, ideally on the contractor side
- Solid grounding in the FAR
- Comfortable with post-award administration and closeout
- Able to be on-site in DC part of the week
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Prior experience supporting a federal agency
- DAWIA or FAC-C certification

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
