Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to ensure they feel valued and appreciated.
- Manage bar inventory, including stock levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware, while maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to accurately process orders, payments, and cash handling transactions.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning surfaces, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for seamless service during events like banquets or catering functions.
- Manage bar flow efficiently by utilizing time management skills to serve multiple guests promptly during busy periods.
- Help with Food Service when needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail mixing techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and craft beer styles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, catering events or banquet service is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math for inventory management are essential.
- Previous bar management or supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
