The Home-Based Educator works directly with families of young children in their homes using the HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) curriculum. This position helps parents build the skills and confidence to be their child’s first and most important teacher while preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Home-Based Educators conduct weekly home visits, guide parents through age-appropriate educational activities, connect families with helpful community resources, maintain required records, and participate in weekly staff training and role-play sessions.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families and young children, is dependable and organized, communicates well, and is comfortable traveling locally to families’ homes. Training and curriculum materials are provided.
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
