Receptionist / Administrative Assistant – Home Health
Location: Fresno, CA
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our growing Home Health agency. This is not a traditional front desk position. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assist with a variety of administrative and operational tasks.
This role requires someone who can adapt to changing priorities, take initiative, and provide support wherever needed to ensure agency success.
ResponsibilitiesFront Office & Communication
- Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally.
- Greet patients, families, referral sources, and visitors.
- Manage agency email communications through Outlook.
- Communicate with staff using TigerConnect.
- Monitor incoming faxes and electronic communications.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Clinical & Administrative Support
- Enter and maintain patient information in Data Soft Logic (DSL).
- Assist with referral intake and processing.
- Support physician order tracking and document management.
- Assist with medical records organization and chart maintenance.
- Perform chart audits for completeness and compliance.
- Assist with survey preparation and regulatory readiness activities.
- Support employee file maintenance and credential tracking.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of agency operations.
- Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- Healthcare administrative experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred
- Home Health or Hospice experience.
- Experience with Data Soft Logic (DSL).
- Experience with Medicare documentation.
- Familiarity with chart audits, referrals, and survey preparation.
- Experience maintaining employee personnel files and compliance records.
- Familiarity with TigerConnect.
Expectations
This position requires a team member who is:
- Present and ready to work promptly at 8:30 AM.
- Available until the end of the workday at 5:30 PM.
- Flexible and willing to assist with projects and tasks outside of routine front office duties.
- Able to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable supporting agency leadership with special projects and operational needs.
