Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals and departures at each stop
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns with a positive attitude
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing the customer experience and meeting sales targets
- Handle heavy lifting and merchandise merchandising tasks with proper technique to prevent injury and ensure product integrity
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, invoices, and route logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery status, route changes, or issues encountered during shifts
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent required; clean driving record preferred
- Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven experience in commercial driving or route driving roles is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily duties
- Organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Prior military experience involving disciplined driving or logistics is a plus
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and upselling strategies is beneficial
