Responsibilities
- Operate industrial laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to clean hotel linens and textiles efficiently.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, folding, and storage of laundry items according to hotel standards.
- Manage laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, adhering to all sanitation and safety protocols.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport heavy loads of linens throughout the laundry area safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry workspace in compliance with safety standards in production.
- Perform routine inspections of textiles for stains or damage, ensuring only high-quality items are returned for guest use.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy loads or operating machinery to prevent injuries.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely delivery of clean linens to various hotel departments.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel or industrial laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of textile cleaning processes including laundry washing, dry cleaning, and garment care machine operation.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and pushing carts.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing inventory.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols in production environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality control.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support a positive work environment.
