Overview
Square One is seeking an Assistant Nutrition Coordinator. The Assistant Nutrition Coordinator serves as a Lead Cook, operations support, and primary delivery driver for early childhood programs. This role ensures that infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children receive safe, nutritious meals in compliance with CACFP, Massachusetts health regulations, and EEC requirements while supporting daily multi-site kitchen operations.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as Lead Cook managing daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare nutritious, developmentally appropriate meals.
- Ensure compliance with CACFP and safety standards.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff.
- Manage food allergies and accommodations.
- Serve as primary driver delivering meals to sites.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and documentation.
- Support multi-site coordination and operations.
- Communicate with leadership and resolve operational issues.
- Attend trainings and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in food service and cooking for young children in group care settings.
- Ability to function as Lead Cook and oversee kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of CACFP/USDA meal requirements for children.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts EEC and health regulations would be highly desirable.
- ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to deliver meals.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Must meet health and background check requirements.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
