Responsibilities
- Conduct field service visits to assess client needs, perform maintenance, and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system design documents to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems including low voltage wiring, cabling, hardware components and fiber-optic cabling.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to complete installations in construction or retrofit environments.
- Conduct signal quality tests, line verification, and system performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with electrical teams on low voltage wiring projects while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) and TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) standards.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, system configurations, and client interactions for quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field involving telecommunications or security systems.
- Knowledgeable of computer networking, computer hardware, and system design principles.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, and electrical wiring.
- Electrical experience with low voltage wiring standards and NEC compliance
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members while providing exceptional customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues remotely or on-site efficiently.
- Ability to work in diverse environments including construction sites or existing facilities requiring cabling or system upgrades.
- Ability to work variable hours, on-call shifts, or travel between job sites.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing and maintaining security systems such as CCTV cameras, sensors, fire alarms, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), access control devices as well as Wireless Access Points (WAP) and network switches.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras, sensors, alarm systems, and fire alarms.
- Experience performing remote access software configurations for system monitoring and troubleshooting across various platforms.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade school training preferred.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, BICSI, or Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), BICSI are beneficial.

Pay: $21.35 - $30.00 per hour
