About Us: Join our dynamic team at Emeryville Sports Physical Therapy, where we are dedicated to providing top-tier care and a positive patient experience. We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to take on the role of Physical Therapy Aide / Front Desk Operator. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and supporting our physical therapists and Front Desk team as they help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Additionally, we operate at other locations in Emeryville and Berkeley as part of contracted PT services for group pain and concussion rehabilitation group programs., which our PT aides actively participate in.
Position Overview: This position consists of assisting with crucial operational, administrative, and patient care tasks to guarantee the smooth daily flow of the clinic. As well as assisting the PT team in our off-site group program classes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about physical therapy, customer service-oriented, organized, and eager to learn on the job and contribute to both the administrative and clinical sides of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Physical Therapy Aide (60%):
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the therapy area and equipment.
- Support a safe and efficient flow of patients throughout the clinic.
- Assist physical therapists with patient care and exercise plans.
- Help patients during therapeutic exercises and activities, including leading group exercise classes in multiple locations (Emeryville/Berkeley)
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions.
Front Desk (40%):
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Collect co-pays and process payments accurately.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments- Maintaining a full schedule is the lifeline of the clinic
- Maintain office supplies and order materials as needed.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and our billing team regarding patient coverage and authorizations.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming environment for all patients.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology is preferred.
- Experience in patient care, customer service, or a medical office setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations (inpatient, outpatient, geriatrics, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
