Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biomass Handler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of biomass materials, ensuring smooth production flow while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Duties
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and conveyor systems to move biomass materials safely within the facility
- Load, unload, and transport biomass feedstock using appropriate tools and machinery, following all safety protocols
- Assist in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment to ensure continuous production flow
- Interpret production documents and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to accurately execute tasks
- Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment and packaging machinery to minimize downtime
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and safety standards
- Support warehouse operations by conducting inventory checks, documenting material movements, and ensuring proper storage of biomass materials
- Follow all safety standards in production environments, including heavy lifting techniques and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, identify mechanical issues early, and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams
- Assist with assembly tasks related to packaging components or industrial equipment as needed
Experience
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment preferred
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and hand tools required
- Knowledge of industrial machinery troubleshooting and mechanical repair techniques beneficial
- Ability to interpret production documents, manuals, and technical drawings with precision
- Basic math skills for measurements, inventory counts, and documentation accuracy necessary
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments including safety protocol adherence and heavy lifting procedures
- Previous experience with packaging equipment or assembly lines is a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
