Cuero Regional Hospital is searching for a FT LVN in our Parkside Clinic.
- The LVN is responsible for the direct and indirect care of the clinic patients.
- The LVN assists the physician and/or mid-level provider providing care to patients.
- This includes: obtaining vital signs; chief complaint; obtaining the patient's history and medication history; reconciling medications; assisting during exams and/or minor procedures; returning phone calls to patients, pharmacies or anyone else who participates in the patient's care; refilling medications via fax and/or electronically per provider's orders; performing patient education; thorough documentation in the electronic medical record as well as documenting in IMMTRAC2 as needed; administering medications via correct route per provider's order and documenting in the patient's EHR; obtaining prior authorizations on medications, procedures, tests ordered by providers, and referrals; and referring patients to specialists per provider's orders; faxing papers to appropriate places per provider.
- Other duties include keeping the office and patient care areas orderly and informing the correct person when inventory on supplies is running low so the supplies may be ordered.
Required:
- Current Texas LVN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Clinical experience and great customer service skills.
- Medical knowledge.
- Computer and typing skills.
PTO available after 90 days; EIL available after 6 months
