Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and schematics
- Finish drywall joints by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture to achieve a seamless surface
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine proper installation procedures and material requirements
- Install related components such as trim carpentry, door hanging, fixtures, and mold remediation elements as needed
- Perform plastering, caulking, and painting tasks to enhance the final appearance of finished surfaces
- Collaborate with team members on framing, metal stud framing, masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and other related tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project execution
- Extensive experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques with attention to detail
- Proficiency in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and water damage restoration processes
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools specific to drywall finishing and related trades such as framing or masonry
- Familiarity with schematics for fixture installation or plumbing systems within construction projects
- Ability to perform remodeling tasks including flooring installation, tile laying, airless paint spraying, and drywall repair
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or mold remediation is a plus but not required
