Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint reading, and technical programming will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment such as CNC lathe and CNC milling machine, utilizing Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and perform CNC programming adjustments as needed for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and tooling components using hand tools and precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Conduct precision measurements with tools such as dial indicators and micrometers to verify dimensions during production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot issues promptly, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Use electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when required for complex or hard materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following lean manufacturing principles while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with assembly processes involving plastics injection molding or welding when necessary.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts safely for material movement within the facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machinist or CNC Operator with a strong understanding of machining processes including CNC programming and operation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, and using precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar programs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc or equivalent systems for programming and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurement conversions and machine setup adjustments.
- Experience working with tooling selection, setup, and maintenance for various machining operations.
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and forklift equipment responsibly.

Pay: $20.50 - $23.50 per hour
