Summary of Position Mission
Serves as an independent process owner for assigned machining and assembly operations. Develops, optimizes, and sustains robust manufacturing systems, leads cross-functional projects, and owns technical decisions within assigned scope to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Responsibilities

Own end-to-end manufacturing processes for assigned product lines, cells, or equipment

Develop, validate, and maintain machining, assembly, and inspection processes and approve technical documentation within delegated authority

Own CNC/CAM strategy, tooling, workholding, setup, and prove-out decisions for assigned products

Lead DFM/DFA, tolerance, drawing, and engineering-change reviews and resolve manufacturability risks with Design Engineering and Quality

Lead equipment trials, acceptance testing, qualification, and production handoff for moderately complex systems

Lead cycle-time, scrap, throughput, uptime, tool-life, and labor-efficiency improvement efforts using verified data

Own process flow, PFMEA, control-plan, capability, and work-instruction content for assigned processes

Implement SPC and capability controls and respond to unstable or incapable processes with documented action plans

Lead cross-functional root-cause analysis and corrective or preventive actions using a method appropriate to the problem and verify effectiveness

Integrate safety, firearms compliance, and engineering risk controls into all process, tooling, equipment, and layout decisions

Build and maintain project plans with scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and acceptance criteria

Lead cross-functional execution with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers

Deliver projects on time, within scope, and to agreed safety, quality, cost, and performance targets

Train operators, technicians, and junior engineers and provide day-to-day technical coaching

Support capital-equipment justification and implementation within assigned projects

Maintain and keep workstation and department area clean

Demonstrate sound working knowledge of firearms safety

Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times

Adhere to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by the Company

Qualifications &Knowledge Required

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or closely related engineering discipline

Demonstrated ability to develop, validate, document, and sustain machining, assembly, tooling, or inspection processes

Independent capability in technical print and GD&T review, manufacturing problem solving, data analysis, and production-risk decisions
-
Demonstrated process ownership and delivery of cross-functional work with clear safety, quality, cost, delivery, and documentation results
-
General computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite

Must be capable of following all established environmental safety protocols required by OSHA/federal and state agencies and the Company

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels
Preferred

3+ years of relevant experience
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment and throughout a heated manufacturing and warehouse facility. Exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of light manufacturing, shipping and receiving, and normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
