Welcome to All About Eyes! We are a private optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. Experience is highly preferred, be we are willing to train the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain and document patient medical and ocular histories.
- Perform preliminary testing, including:
- Visual acuity
- Auto-refraction
- Automated Lensometry
- iCare Tonometry
- Advanced imaging with Topcon OCT, Virtual Vision Visual Field Testing, and Eidon Fundus Camera
- Dilation
- Assist the doctor during patient examinations
- Enter accurate patient information into the electronic health record (EHR)
- Assist with contact lens training/education and insertion/removal instruction
- Maintain contact lens trial set supply and order contact lens trials
- Maintain exam rooms and equipment/supplies
- Schedule Appointments, answer phones, and assist with front desk duties when needed
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Abillity to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skells and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EHR/Pre-Testing equipment (Eyefinity EHR, Eidon Fundus Camera, Topcon OCT, Virtual Vision Visual Field)
- Knowledge of vision insurance plans
- Experience with contact lens training and knowledge of different contact lens brands
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

- Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 AM - 6 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday 10 AM - 7 PM
- No Weekends
