LPN/Nurse Monitor Job Description Job Summary: The LPN/Nurse Monitor is responsible for the oversight of medication management and administration within the residential setting as well as the provision and supervision of any first aid provided within the facility. The Registered Nurse/Nurse Monitor will be required to be on call if there are any needs of the program for medical consultation.
This position reports directly to the Clinical Director. Job Responsibilities:
● Oversee the medication administration process, including all documentation for the program.
● Communicate and document communication with clients’ physicians, psychiatrists, and other medical professionals.
● Create and contribute to clients’ medical records as needed.
● Collaborate with others to ensure that all patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met.
● Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from clients.
● Track and maintain medical supply inventory.
● Act as nurse monitor in compliance with Massachusetts Medication Administration Program standards.
● Ensure program’s compliance with Massachusetts Medication Administration Program.
● On-call responsibilities.
● Other duties as assigned.
● Counsel and collaborate with clients and family members before, during and after treatment
● Obtain and Maintain CPI certification while employed Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
● 2+ years’ nursing experience, preferably with a substance use disorder population ● Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred/or quivelent
● Valid nursing license in addition to First Aid, CPR (adult, child and adolescent) certification
● Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed
● Willingness to be on call for residential emergencies
● Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
● Ability to explain treatments and conditions to clients and staff
● Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
Pay: $40.00 per hour
