Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating best practices in early childhood education, special education, and behavioral management.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities, autism, or developmental challenges, ensuring inclusive classroom experiences.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing and formative evaluations to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring specialized support, collaborating closely with families and support staff.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to create a safe learning environment.
- Mentor and supervise assistant teachers or teaching aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional methods.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and behavior.
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student assessments, IEPs, and behavioral reports to ensure compliance with educational standards.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings, preferably within private schools or Montessori environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across literacy education, math, behavioral health, and library services for young children.
- Hands-on experience working with children who have disabilities such as autism or developmental delays, utilizing speech therapy techniques and behavioral management strategies.
- Knowledge of early intervention programs and childhood development principles to support holistic student growth.
- Strong communication skills for effective mentoring of staff, collaboration with families, and engagement with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and lesson planning tailored to individual learning needs.
