Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a keen understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality guest service standards.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
