Schedule: Friday – Sunday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours/Week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of general diagnostic radiology, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
- Verify patient identity, review medical history, and assess patient condition prior to imaging procedures.
- Confirm pregnancy status when appropriate before administering ionizing radiation.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Review imaging requests, verify patient demographics, and ensure accurate documentation in RIS, PACS, and hospital information systems.
- Perform image quality control, transmit completed studies to PACS, and verify successful image transfer.
- Monitor and maintain radiology equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed, modified, or canceled procedures.
- Provide compassionate patient care while assisting patients with mobility or special needs.
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations while prioritizing patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification in Radiography.
- Active ARRT registry with ongoing continuing education compliance.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- No prior experience required.
- Siemens imaging equipment experience preferred.
