Location: Gorgeous Filoli Historic House & Garden

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt, Salaried, Benefit Eligible

Schedule: On-site presence which will be driven by the Events calendar, including frequent weekend, evening and holiday availability.

Salary Range: $94,000 to $105,000 per year (Depending upon candidate experience)

Reports to: Director of Events & Hospitality

Master On-Site Execution: Lead the execution of world-class private rentals and internal events, overseeing setup, timelines, vendor management, and post-event breakdown.
Drive Sales & Strategy: Prospect new client business, host site tours, and deliver compelling pitches to expand our venue rental program and maximize venue potential.
Lead & Mentor: Directly manage, schedule, and train the Events team (including Event Representatives and seasonal staff), fostering a high-trust, collaborative culture.
Build Strong Partnerships: Cultivate lasting relationships with clients, caterers, and vendors while ensuring seamless coordination with peer departments.
Manage Operations & Budgets: Oversee event budgets, vendor contracts, and tracking platforms (Monday.com, Altru) to ensure pristine organization.

Experience: 6–8+ years in hospitality, luxury event planning, or venue sales, alongside 3–4+ years in team leadership.
Sales & Business Acumen: A proven track record of prospecting, closing new business, and managing event budgets of significant scale.
People-Centric Leadership: Exceptional communication, self-awareness, and a genuine commitment to advancing diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI).
Agility & Cool Head: Ability to problem-solve calmly in a fast-paced environment with top-tier attention to detail.
Practical Skills: Proficiency with Windows/Google Suite (experience with Monday.com or Altru is a plus), a valid Driver’s License, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk uneven outdoor terrain.
