We are looking for an experienced and motivated Upland Hunting Guides to lead clients on guided bird hunts this fall. This role is ideal for someone passionate about upland hunting, bird dogs, and delivering a top-notch outdoor experience. As a Hunting Guide, you will lead upland hunts, ensuring a safe, educational experience for all participants. Your role is vital in fostering respect for wildlife and conservation efforts while providing top-tier customer service. Duties
- Guide clients on upland bird hunts (pheasant, quail, chukar,)
- Handle and work alongside hunting dogs (your own dogs are a plus)
- Educate clients on hunting techniques, safety measures, and conservation principles through engaging teaching methods
- Ensure safe firearm handling and ethical hunting practices
- Assist with bird cleaning and field care
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, and hunting areas
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive experience for guests
Qualifications
- Prior upland guiding or strong hunting experience required
- Experience working with bird dogs preferred
- Knowledge of upland bird behavior, habitat, and hunting techniques
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to work long days in the field and varying weather conditions
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Physically fit and capable of walking several miles daily
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proven leadership skills with experience in guiding or outdoor instruction
- Effective time management to organize trips efficiently and adhere to schedules
- Experience in teaching or training others about hunting techniques, safety practices, or outdoor skills
