Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Concrete and Masonry Foreman to lead our construction team on various projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who not only directs the crew but also actively participates in the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct a crew of laborers in daily construction tasks.
- Ensure all concrete and masonry work is completed on time and meets project quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure proper execution of the work.
- Perform hands-on tasks, including concrete formwork, pouring, and finishing, as well as laying block and brick.
- Monitor and strictly enforce all safety regulations on the job site.
- Coordinate with the project manager to plan activities and material use.
- Train team members and foster a productive work environment.
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of verifiable experience as a skilled laborer in concrete and masonry work.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in concrete formwork, reinforcement, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Expert knowledge of laying brick, concrete blocks, and mortar.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to perform physically demanding labor.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a crew.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
