Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of our facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in construction and general repairs. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, test and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including repairs to buildings, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and organizational policies while fostering a positive team environment.
- Conduct inspections and safety surveys to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
- Provide inventory and non-inventory item purchasing support
- Maintains facilities appearance – interior, exterior, and grounds
- Meet all Joint Commission, Federal, State, County, City, or other governing body status of compliance to maintain licensure and/or operating certification
- Participate in on-call rotation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school preferred
- Plant, building, equipment, and utility maintenance required
- 2 years Hospital maintenance experience preferred
- 1 year Joint Commission, Life Safety Code, and OSHA regulations experience preferred
- Purchasing and vendor management experience preferred
Pay: $19.10 - $28.65 per hour
