Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Provide detailed wine, spirits, and cocktail recommendations based on guest preferences; demonstrate spirits experience and beverage service expertise
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed
- Foster positive guest relations by anticipating needs, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience, preferably in fine dining or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to increase sales while enhancing guest enjoyment
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; experience in guest relations is highly valued
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
