Position Summary
Sixth Man Productions is seeking a motivated and dependable Production Assistant Intern to join our growing production team. This hands-on internship provides the opportunity to work directly with producer Cristian Henry while gaining real-world experience in podcast, video, and digital media production.
As a Production Assistant Intern, you will assist with all phases of production, including pre-production planning, on-location filming, production logistics, and post-production support. This is an excellent opportunity for students or aspiring professionals looking to launch a career in media production, journalism, broadcasting, or digital content creation. No previous on-set experience is required: training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and breakdown of cameras, lighting, audio, and production equipment.
- Support on-location podcast and video productions throughout the Los Angeles area.
- Prepare filming locations and maintain organized production workspaces.
- Assist with equipment management, organization, and transportation.
- Coordinate talent, guests, and production schedules as directed.
- Capture behind-the-scenes photos and video content when needed.
- Provide general production support to ensure efficient and professional productions.
- Assist with production logistics before, during, and after filming.
- Support post-production tasks as assigned, including media organization and file management.
- Represent Sixth Man Productions professionally while interacting with clients and guests.
Qualifications Required:
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to filming locations throughout the Los Angeles area.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and receive feedback.
- Ability to lift and transport production equipment (up to approximately 40 lbs.).
Preferred (Not Required):
- Basic knowledge of podcast, video, or media production.
- Familiarity with cameras, lighting, audio recording equipment, or production workflows.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Audition, or similar editing software.
- Previous production, photography, videography, journalism, or broadcasting experience a plus, but not required.
