The Learning Tree is a well-respected Christian child care center dedicated to serving children and families in our community. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Two-Year-Old Teacher to join our team and make a lasting impact in the lives of young children.

Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and hands-on learning activities.
- Foster children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development through play-based learning.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom that meets DCDEE licensing standards.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress and communicate regularly with families.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, toileting, handwashing, rest time, and transitions.
- Use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and build self-confidence.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Experience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass all required background checks and meet North Carolina child care licensing requirements.
