Local excavation and site development company seeking an experienced Bulldozer Operator for full-time employment throughout northern New York (Massena, Potsdam, Canton, Ogdensburg, Malone areas)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years operating finish-grade dozers on heavy highway or civil construction sites
- Experience with grading, site preparation, earthmoving, and excavation projects
- Ability to read grade stakes and site plans
- GPS machine control proficiency required
- Demonstrated ability to read and work from 3D models using GPS dozer control system (Trimble)
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong situational awareness, commitment to job safety, and quality workmanship
Responsibilities:
· Precision grading: achieve tight tolerances (sub-tenth accuracy) on heavy civil, roadwork, and site development projects
· GPS Operation: Set up, troubleshoot, and efficiently utilize automated 3D machine control system (Trimble)
· Mass Excavation: Support high-production excavation, embankment work, and material balancing
· Site Maintenance: Perform daily safety/operational inspections, grease and fuel machine, and keep equipment job-ready at all times
