Job Description
As a Truss Builder, you operate production line equipment, assemble large wooden trusses from detailed production diagrams, finish building materials to specification, and inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities

Operate production line equipment safely and efficiently to build wooden trusses.

Read and interpret production diagrams to assemble trusses according to exact specifications.

Use hand tools and tape measures to cut, position, and secure lumber accurately.

Perform woodworking tasks such as cutting, sanding, framing, and finishing materials.

Inspect finished trusses and building materials to verify quality, measurements, and structural integrity.

Work collaboratively in group settings to meet production goals and deadlines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.

Report any equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills

At least 1 year of woodworking experience.

At least 1 year of experience using hand tools.

At least 1 year of experience using a tape measure accurately.

Ability to read and follow production diagrams and basic construction plans.

Basic construction and framing knowledge.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Background in woodworking is highly beneficial.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large woodworking manufacturing shop where you work in groups to build trusses. The environment is production-focused, with active use of woodworking tools and equipment throughout the day. You can wear a t-shirt and shorts, but must wear steel-toe footwear and protective eyewear for safety. The position offers one shift: 2nd Shift 4pm-2am M-F, extra OT is available on Saturday and Sunday if you want it. 1

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
