Core competencies:
- Must be CERTIFIED as a medical assistant with minimum 2 years experience and proof of medical assistant certification is required
- Outgoing personality with leadership ability and sales experience
- Skilled in patient interaction and ability to show empathy when needed
- High level of proficiency in drawing blood and giving injections
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Performing basic laboratory tests
- Basic clinical knowledge
- Ability to easily multi-task in a fast paced medical retail environment
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience in administrative tasks
- Answering phones and greeting patients
- Updating and filing patient medical records
- Ability to work alone in an office setting
- Adept at scheduling appointments
- Managing schedule at a high efficiency level
- Handling correspondence, billing and bookkeeping
- Outbound calling to physicians and other referral sources
- Outstanding follow-up ability
- Medical marketing experience
