Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently.
- Work on heavy equipment mechanics and auto body repairs as needed, ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and mechanical failures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending maintenance plans to enhance vehicle longevity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto body repair, auto estimating, and GM vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), air brake systems, wheel alignments, tire service, shocks & struts is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver quality repairs efficiently.
