GFT is seeking an Entry Level Overhead Catenary System Engineer to join our transit & rail team in our Philadelphia, PA office. This is a hybrid-remote position, requiring onsite attendance for a minimum of 3 days per week.

What you’ll be challenged to do:
The Entry Level OCS Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and implementation of Overhead Catenary System (OCS) infrastructure for transit and railway projects. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, the successful candidate will support engineering analyses, design development, and project delivery activities for a variety of transportation projects.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Assist with the preparation and development of OCS (Overhead Catenary System) design drawings and project documentation.

Support project engineers with design tasks, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and project schedules.

Participate in project meetings and learn about engineering design, value engineering, and project delivery processes.

Coordinate with engineering team members, consultants, contractors, and field personnel to support project activities.

Perform research, data collection, and analysis to assist in project development and problem-solving efforts.
What you'll bring to our firm:

Bachelor’s degree in an ABET-accredited Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering program.

0-3 years of experience in transportation, transit & rail engineering or overhead catenary systems.

Demonstrated interest in transportation, transit & rail engineering or overhead catenary systems through applied academic, internships, or past work experiences.
- Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar engineering design software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
