Hours: Part-Time (up to 20 hours per week) on site, Sundays & Tuesdays required

Job Summary
The First Church of Nashua (UCC) is seeking a part-time Christian Formation Coordinator to support our children, youth, and family programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families, coordinating volunteers, and helping create a welcoming, engaging environment for faith formation.
You will coordinate Sunday morning programming, support volunteer teachers, and collaborate with clergy, staff, and church leaders to ensure a meaningful experience for children and youth.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Coordination
- Serve as the primary contact for Sunday School teachers and nursery staff
- Recruit, schedule, and support Christian Formation volunteers
- Provide curriculum materials, supplies, and guidance
Program Coordination
- Collaborate with clergy and staff and Christian Formation Board to implement Christian formation programs
- Assist with scheduling and calendar coordination
- Support events such as Rally Day, Christmas Pageant, and Children’s Sunday
- Help track expenses and support the program budget
Program Operations & Safety
- Maintain a welcoming, organized presence on Sunday mornings
- Track enrollment and attendance (nursery through high school)
- Ensure volunteers complete background checks and follow safety protocols
Communication & Engagement
- Communicate regularly with families and the congregation
- Support outreach to keep families informed and engaged
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in education, ministry, youth programs, or a related field (paid or volunteer)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with email, Word, Excel, and shared calendars
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
- Up to 20 hours per week
- Sunday mornings and Tuesday Staff Meeting attendance is required
Pay: $20.00 per hour
