Anchor Point Marina is a full service marina located on the Wolf River. We are on a growth track and looking to add another marine service technician.
The marina consists of 125 boat slips along with boat rentals, sales, service, storage, fuel dock, and marina store.
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marina Maintenance Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various marine technologies. Tasks include dock repair, electrical and plumbing repair, painting, and light duty motor maintenance. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to our clients. The Marina Maintenance Tech will work primarily in an outdoor environment, engaging in both routine maintenance and complex repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on marine vessels, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using tools such as an ohmmeter and caliper.
- Conduct mechanical repairs and adjustments on engines, propulsion systems, and other critical components.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication and repair tasks.
- Assist in heavy lifting of equipment and materials as needed during service operations.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used for each vessel.
Skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and calipers.
- Experience with soldering techniques for electrical repairs.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain various marine systems.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of boat/motor maintenance principles is advantageous.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as required for repairs or upgrades.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
