What the Job Entails:
Under the direct supervision of the production supervisor(s), the responsibilities of the Press Operator are to manufacture thermoplastic composite parts utilizing supplied equipment, supplies and work instructions while following company policies and procedures as defined.
Job Responsibilities:
Production
1. Load and insert product into various machines and run the machine
2. Unload product and visually inspect
3. Maintain cycle times to meet/exceed minimum rates
4. Keep equipment and work area clean
5. Support company requirements for overtime
6. Identification of waste concerning, material, supplies and time
7. Follow Production Supervisor directions and assignments
8. May be cross trained in other departments as needed. Follow all specifications and work instructions of the position being filled
9. Assist in the training of newly hired personnel
System Requirements
1. Proper clocking in and out of ERP system
2. Proper clocking on and off assigned work order
3. Proper issuing of materials
4. Perform work according to established work instructions
FOD control
1. Clean as you work throughout the shift
2. Refill all supplies and tools as needed and at the end of every shift
3. Complete all assigned tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
4. Know and use FOD prevention “Best Practices” in assigned area
Maintenance and Safety:
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas.
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection.
Safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety.
Communicate effectively with team members, programmers, and supervisors regarding production issues or recommendations.

- Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, or responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Regularly move and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for handling materials and operating machinery.
- Must have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to identify quality variances visually..

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in CNC machining and production.
Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift (train on days for approximately 6-8 months then switch to Swing Shift)
