Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our vibrant hospitality team! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and efficient order management. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently.
- Provide expert beverage service, including cocktail mixing, wine recommendations, spirits knowledge, and drink presentation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Manage cash handling accurately, including processing payments and providing correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; assist with bussing and food safety protocols as needed.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; OpenTable experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for sales transactions and tip calculations.
- Experience with cocktail preparation, wine knowledge, spirits, and beverage service is desirable.
- Prior experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants will be advantageous.
