Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
WAYNE COUNTY SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT
ESSENTIAL WORK FUNCTIONS
Under general supervision, performs supervisory and technical work in the operation of the solid waste maintenance shop. Work involves performing difficult and complex maintenance and mechanical repair work on diversified automotive equipment and supervising the activities of subordinate automotive mechanics. Employee is also responsible for scheduling and assigning maintenance and repair work for County-owned vehicles, maintaining inventories of parts or supplies and maintaining records of maintenance performed. Reports to the Landfill Director.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
\* Graduation from high school supplemented by course work in the repair of automotive equipment and components; and 6 to 9 years of experience in automotive repair, including supervisory experience or any combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
\* Must have possession of a valid Class A CDL issued by the State of North Carolina.
\* Possession of North Carolina Vehicle Safety Inspection License.
\* Licensing in automotive air conditioning by the I.M.A.C.A.
