Job Overview:
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team who will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. This is a full-time position in an office setting.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in electronic systems such as eClinicalWorks
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and well-stocked
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical practice
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks is desirable
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and visitors
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations
