We are seeking a knowledgeable, motivated, and safety-focused Certified Arborist / Plant Health Care Technician to join our growing team. As a member of our team, you will combine expert arboricultural knowledge with plant health care experience to provide comprehensive tree and shrub care services for residential, commercial, and municipal clients. Your responsibilities will include evaluating tree health, diagnosing insect and disease issues, recommending treatment plans, performing professional pruning and tree care services, and applying plant health care treatments to improve and protect valuable landscapes.

Essential Responsibilities
- Perform tree inspections and evaluate the health, structure, and overall condition of trees and shrubs.
- Diagnose insect infestations, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress factors.
- Develop and recommend customized tree and plant health care programs.
- Perform professional tree pruning, structural pruning, removals, cabling, bracing, and other arboricultural services in accordance with ANSI A300 standards.
- Apply fertilizers, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and soil treatments using industry-approved equipment and application techniques.
- Mix, calibrate, and apply products according to EPA label requirements and all state regulations.
- Ability to climb trees, operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, spray equipment, tree injection systems, and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate treatment records, inspection reports, and required pesticide application documentation.
- Educate customers on proper tree care, plant health, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Ensure all work is performed safely while following OSHA, ANSI, and company safety standards.
- Assist with crew leadership, mentoring, and training of newer team members when appropriate.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in clean and safe operating condition.
Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist certification (required).
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain within an agreed-upon timeframe.
- Experience in arboriculture, tree care, or plant health care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, insect and disease identification, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred).
- Ability to lift 75 pounds or more and perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
