Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Distribution Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer with deep expertise in utility distribution design who is passionate about advancing electrical infrastructure, grid modernization, and system reliability.
The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of overhead and underground electrical distribution projects, mentor engineering and design staff, and provide technical oversight for projects serving utility, municipal, industrial, and cooperative clients. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the reliability and performance of electrical distribution systems while supporting some of the industry's most critical infrastructure initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 8+ years of experience in utility electrical distribution engineering and design.
- Strong experience with overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Proven experience developing and reviewing utility construction work packages.
- Experience with distribution systems ranging from 4kV through 138kV.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor engineering staff.
- Strong knowledge of utility industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting utility storm restoration or emergency response efforts.
- Familiarity with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) design standards.
- Experience supporting electric cooperatives and rural utility systems.
- Background in joint-use engineering and telecommunications attachment programs.
- Knowledge of advanced utility asset management and work management systems.
- Experience working within consulting engineering environments serving electric utility clients.

Pay: $62.50 - $80.00 per hour
