The
Medical Assistant 2 will support physicians and care teams while serving as a trusted point of contact for patients. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative outpatient environment.
Medical Assistant 2 Responsibilities:
- Room and prepare patients for appointments
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Discuss symptoms and gather patient information
- Enter information into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Administer injections as permitted by certification
- Perform diagnostic testing
- Collect specimens and laboratory samples
- Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures
- Sterilize and clean medical equipment
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff
Medical Assistant 2 Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a back-office/direct patient care setting
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (CMA/RMA)
- Current CPR Certification
- Less than 2 years of professional leadership experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- Basic computer skills
