We are seeking a friendly and dependable Retail Sales Associate to join the Paint Department at our Milford location.
This is a part-time, hands-on position that combines customer service, paint mixing, sales support, inventory management, and general department upkeep. You will assist both do-it-yourself customers and professional painters with selecting the right products for their projects.

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.

Help customers select paint, stains, supplies, and related products.

Mix and tint paint accurately according to customer specifications.

Recommend additional products to support customer projects.

Process cash, credit, charge-account, and gift-card transactions.

Receive, inspect, and put away incoming merchandise.

Stock shelves and maintain attractive, organized product displays.

Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items or discrepancies.

Keep the paint department and mixing equipment clean, organized, and safe.

Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and current promotions.

Follow all company safety procedures and product-handling guidelines.

Support other store departments and operations as needed.
Requirements:

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Dependable attendance and availability to work Fridays and some Saturdays.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Strong attention to detail, particularly when mixing paint and processing transactions.

Basic math skills and the ability to follow product instructions accurately.

A friendly, team-oriented attitude.

Previous retail, paint, hardware, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Willingness to learn about paint products, applications, and color-matching procedures.

Ability to stand, walk, and remain physically active for extended periods.

Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and stocking.

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to safely handle paint cans, merchandise, and department equipment.
