KinderStop After School Teachers must be passionate about teaching children, engaging with children, and helping them progress. Group childcare and/or classroom management experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must have experience in a professional childcare setting and/or have completed or currently be enrolled in higher education classes.
Responsibilities of the job include:
- Ensure student safety and supervise all activities
- Facilitate engaging program activities
- Practice positive classroom management techniques
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks
- Maintain professionalism with colleagues and students
- Treat all children with dignity and respect
- Attend staff meetings and training programs
- Maintain a neat and organized classroom environment
- Report any issues with children to the campus manager
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the campus manager
- Participate in dismissal procedures and ensure children leave with appropriate adults
- Foster a positive and supportive team atmosphere
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
- Consent to background checks and drug testing prior to employment
- Obtain or maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid
The position is Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm with the opportunity to work morning shifts as well as the afternoon shift. The morning shift is 6:30am-8:00am
