A 13-week contract opportunity is available for Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technicians in Houston, TX, with two roles open for immediate placement. These positions offer distinct shifts: one from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and the other from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound, prepare, and process prescription medications following company policies and state regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing necessary supplies.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages.
- Properly label and package medications for distribution.
- Participate in monitoring, documenting, and reporting medication-related incidents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy work areas and laminar flow hoods.
- Inspect pharmacy equipment, reporting malfunctions or defects promptly.
- Maintain temperature logs, cleaning records, and assist with pharmacy organization and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification.
- IV Certification required.
